Good community needs care

Community Code of Conduct.

A clear, human expectation for how we share the room, disagree, network and look out for one another.

Come with respect.

Cyber Meetup welcomes people across roles, experience levels and backgrounds. Everyone is expected to contribute to a professional, inclusive and constructive environment—during the meetup, in related community spaces and in direct interactions that begin there.

What we expect

  • Treat people with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Make room for different experience levels and perspectives.
  • Disagree with ideas constructively; do not attack or intimidate people.
  • Do not harass, threaten or discriminate.
  • Respect personal boundaries and decisions not to network, be photographed or share contact details.
  • Do not use community access for aggressive selling, recruitment pressure or unwanted contact.
  • Handle sensitive professional information responsibly.

What happens when something goes wrong

The organising team may speak with someone, ask them to stop a behaviour, remove them from an event or related community space, or take other proportionate action to protect attendees. Serious concerns may be escalated where required.

Report a concern

Tell a member of the organising team during the event, or email contact@cyberpastey.com. Share only the information needed to help us understand and respond. We will handle reports as discreetly as reasonably possible, but cannot promise absolute confidentiality where safety or legal obligations require action.
